The last Assassin’s Creed movie featurette can be summed up in one word: NOPE! Twentieth Century Fox, the studio behind the video game film adaptation, released behind-the-scenes footage of the production attempting to create the real life Leap of Faith.
That’s right, the Assassin’s Creed movie production hired to FREE FALL from a 125-FOOT JUMP. The stunt double had to build up to the fall by starting at 70 feet, which is high enough to sh*t your pants. No, the stunt double was not wearing a wire and casually jokes about making the jump each time.
At least they didn’t make him land in a haystack.
Apparently, the Assassin’s Creed movie production team didn’t want to rely on CGI to achieve the physics-defying Leap of Faith. Watch the full Assassin’s Creed featurette below. Check out Fassbender as Aguilar in 15th Century Spain when the Assassin’s Creed movie is released Dec. 21.
