There’s a new Batman: Return to Arkham gameplay trailer out this week, a little over a month before the compilation heads to PS4 and Xbox One, giving fans a side-by-side comparison of footage from the original Arkham releases and the remasters in Batman: Return to Arkham .
The new trailer is much longer than the average promotional clip seen in 2016. Obviously, there isn’t anything new to learn from this week’s Batman: Return to Arkham trailer, since everything in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City has been public knowledge for a few years now. There might be some fans who haven’t seen all of the post-launch DLC, particularly if you played the originals at launch, but there shouldn’t be many surprises in Batman: Return to Arkham . But the trailer makes a pretty convincing argument for the various audio/visual enhancements made possible by modern gaming hardware. There is no doubt the remastered games bundled together on the Batman: Return to Arkham disc look significantly better than their last-gen counterparts. And the original Arkham releases are only a few years old.
