All four of the wings from One Night In Karazhan, Hearthstone’s latest adventure, have been released, so it’s time to see what all of these new cards can create. Players have already started tinkering with the brand new cards from the last wing, the Spire, that was released on Thursday.
Reddit user stonekeep has been compiling all the different decks made by popular streamers and professional Hearthstone players. Overall, it seems Book Wyrm and Ethereal Peddler have the biggest impact, though Medivh The Guardian might start showing up in more decks once people realize how powerful it is. Moonglade Portal and Netherspite Historian are also getting teched into popular decks like Totem Druid and Dragon Warrior.
Here are a few interesting decks that have popped up, using cards from the last wing of One Night In Karazhan:
Strifecro’s Control Mage- Ever since I first laid eyes on Summoning Stone , I knew I was in love with an ability. The rock never stood a chance of being a useful card, but its ability lives on. Strifecro takes the traditional Control Mage deck, using tempo cards like Alexstrasza and Frost Nova and combining them with Medivh The Guardian. It’s quite consistent, if you already know how to play Freeze Mage, but still struggles against early-game aggressive decks like Aggro Shaman.
MrYagut’s Burgle Rogue - Ethereal Peddler looked like absolute garbage when I first saw it, but now I see its true potential. Rogue got a brand-new way to steal cards from other classes with Swashburglar, making Ethereal Peddler extremely valuable. Like most Rogue decks, Burgle Rogue still needs to get its combo off successfully or it just can’t win the game. It’s not going to be top-tier, but that doesn't mean it’s not fun as hell to play.
Sjow’s Discard Warlock - My favorite deck on the list uses the brand new Malcheezar’s Imp to draw a card every time you discard. It takes the good cards from Zoo Warlock and mushes them together with new cards from the set, like Silverware Golem . It’s not as fun as some of the other new decks out there, but it’s very powerful. I can’t wait to see an Imp on turn one, Darkshire Librarian on turn two, which then discards a Silverware Golem. You’ve practically won the game before your opponent even has a chance to play on curve.
