The upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Jump has begun teasing the upcoming Boruto manga that continues the story of the ninja world started in Naruto.
Weekly Shonen Jump has pages dedicated to hyping up the upcoming Boruto manga, which has been announced as a monthly, with a notice that volume 24 of the Konoha Hyakuyobako edition of the manga will release on March 11 with a new tale in the world of ninja.
Crunchyroll via Yaraon got a hand on the upcoming Weekly Shonen Jump scans with the news.
Naruto creator, Masashi Kishimoto , will not be helming this new series. Instead Mikio Ikemoto will draw the Boruto manga, with Kishimoto overseeing its development.
Ukyō Kodachi (Naruto - Gaara Hiden: Sajingensō novel, Boruto-Naruto the Movie-screenplay cooperation) will write the manga's script.
Ikemoto worked as an assistant under Kishimoto, so he is familiar with Kishimoto’s drawing style. However, Kishimoto will write the special one-shot that sets up the monthly Boruto series.
The Boruto manga will continue the story of Naruto and Hinata’s son and the next generation of ninja. As we see with the early visuals of the manga, there are a ton of new ninja that readers will be introduced to.
Viz Media confirmed that the new Boruto manga and the one-shot will be published in the English version of Weekly Shonen Jump at the same time as Japan’s.
