A new trailer for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition debuted on Monday, making the start of every fan’s week just a bit more exciting than expected. The new clip isn’t much more than a refresher course for those of us who played Bulletstorm on PS3 or Xbox 360, but might be appreciated by those getting their first hands-on experience when Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition debuts in April.
We’d be lying if we said the game’s narrative played much of a role (if any) in our enjoyment of Bulletstorm when the game debuted back in 2011. Instead, the ludicrous, point-based shooter relies on a combination of solid mechanics and a steady stream of jokes (some of which will definitely make you groan) to entertain those tempted by its absurdity. And that’s never been more evident than after we watched the first story trailer for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. The game’s over-the-top action appears to have aged well. But the narrative weaving together of Bulletstorm ’s stages seems just as nonsensical as it did during the previous console generation.
