The new Nintendo Switch title Chiki-Chiki Boxy Pro Wrestling is set to be released on the Nintendo eShop on June 27, 2019. This is the second title in the Chiki-Chiki series, following Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers, which was released in 2018.
The trailer for Chiki-Chiki Boxy Pro Wrestling released on its official website gives players a peak into what they can expect from the new game.
The trailer shows off some of the features of the online wrestling game, which include:
- Unleash Flashy Wrestling Moves with Simple Controls!
- Every player wants to unleash a smashing combo that will leave their opponents gasping.
- With the game's Training mode, players can practice single-button moves and multiple combo moves, such as a leaping attack proceeded with a move on the mat, until they become experts.
- Conquer Seven Tournaments to Become World Champion!
- Chiki-Chiki Boxy Pro Wrestling has seven increasingly challenging tournaments, of course starting with the Beginner tournament.
- Each tournament features four stages.
- Highly Customizable Wrestlers
- In the quest to be at the top, players can create their own wrestlers. Players can choose the wrestler's hairstyle, facial features, and outfit based on their own preferences.
- They can also choose the wrestler's attributes and select a set of wrestling moves.
- Players can use the prize money they earn from winning tournaments to create more customizations.
- Stage Locations with Unique Features
- In addition to classic pro wrestling venues, players will find themselves in rings in unusual locations, including in a grassy meadow, on an iceberg, and in a volcano.
- Each location has its own unique features. For example, in the volcano, magma flows around and even into the ring.
- Players can use the environment to their advantage as they fight to defeat their opponents and become World Champion.
- Heated Multiplayer Matches!
- Chiki-Chiki Boxy Pro Wrestling offers three multiplayer modes: Co-Op, Local Versus, and Online Versus.
- Players can compete in a variety of match types, including singles matches, tag team matches, and battle royals.
- Online matches feature two to six players from around the world battling it out in intense contests!
- Players can even unleash double-team moves in coordination with their fellow combatants.
The game is available in Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Chinese. The pro wrestling/party game was available for pre-purchase beginning on June 13, at a 10% discount from its regular price. Gamers can avail of the special introductory price of $13.49 until June 27, when the regular price of $14.99 goes into effect. Those who pre-purchase Chiki-Chiki Boxy Pro Wrestling will be able to pre-load the game.
