It feels like it’s been forever since Crackdown 3 was announced. The game has certainly had a long development life. All that finally comes to a close when Crackdown 3 releases for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs tomorrow, February 15.
While we know what day we can play Crackdown 3, what time can we actually get started destroying buildings and capturing bad guys? According to the Microsoft Store, Crackdown 3 unlocks right at midnight. It doesn’t mention if this is tied to a specific time zone, so it’s likely you’ll have to wait until 12 a.m. on February 15 regardless of where you live.
Crackdown 3 is available for pre-order and pre-load. If you want to purchase a copy now, you can get everything downloaded and installed before midnight. This means you’ll be able to start playing right as the clock strikes 12.
Originally announced in 2014, Crackdown 3 was scheduled to release in 2016. There would be three delay announcements from then until now, but we’re finally seeing a release. Crackdown 3 includes a story mode that continues 10 years after the events of Crackdown 2. Players must fight against an evil organization known as Terra Nova after the group commits an act of terrorism.
Crackdown 3 also features a multiplayer component called Wrecking Crew. The unique hook for Wrecking Crew is the mass level destruction available to play around with. Everything is destructible in Wrecking Crew, from the buildings to the walkways. Use this to your advantage to get an upper hand on the competition.
