Dark Souls 3 still hasn’t seen its global debut, and has only been available from Japanese retailers for a couple of weeks, but that hasn’t stopped a few members of the game’s community from setting some unbelievable speedrun records before Dark Souls 3 is even a month old.

Many people tend to associated speedrunning with classic games. Whether it’s because of the decidedly nostalgic leanings of the Summer/Winter Games Done Quick marathons or the rise of popular streamers like Trihex and Narcissa Wright, many people tend to assume the speedrunning community is only interested in games for the NES, SNES, etc. But speedrunning has long been a part of the Dark Souls community and two YouTube users are already doing what they can to shave time off runs of Dark Souls 3.

Impressively, both muzi_nasuwho and Distortion2 have already managed to shave their times down below the 90 minute mark. The former has finished the game in 83 minutes and 18 seconds while the latter watched the credits roll after 87 minutes and 45 seconds. But Distortion2 seems to be the only player who’s managed to beat Dark Souls 3 in less than 90 minutes while also taking the time to defeat all of the game’s bosses. Either way, the time is impressive; particularly when you realize muzi_nasuwho and Distortion2 beat DS3 in less time than some people will need to defeat a single boss.

To see the first pair of under 90 minute Dark Souls 3 speedruns, grab yourself a drink/snack and click play on one of the embedded videos below. It probably goes without saying, since this is a speedrun, but remember that you’re going to have pretty much everything, except a handful of optional bosses, from Dark Souls 3 spoiled for you. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Dark Souls 3 is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game makes its North American debut on April 12.
