It’s been months since the last episode of DC Universe Online. The good news is the wait won’t be that long, with a new episode coming out this October. Episode 44 is all about The Sins of Black Adam.
The story focuses on Black Adam, who attempted to resurrect and rescue his wife Isis from the Underworld twice but failed both times. To avoid failing again, he’s planning to go down to the Underworld himself and enter into a deal with Neron. What effect is this deal going to have?
Here are some of the features players can expect for this upcoming episode:
- The episode offers normal and elite versions of all On Duty content. There are also level-agnostic event versions available for a limited time.
- The content includes open world missions, with a duo, alert, and two raids.
- The episode features DC characters, including Black Adam, Shazam, and Isis.
- The storyline includes adventures in locations from Egyptian myth, like the Infernal Kahndaq overrun by the Underworld.
- The episode launches new player rewards, including gear, styles, and more.
Even before Black Adam makes his presence felt in the game, players can enjoy the Homecoming seasonal event starting tomorrow, September 8. It features the sisters Starfire and Blackfire, the Teen Titans, and of course, a great party.
Fourth Quarter
The arrival of Black Adam isn’t the only thing happening in DC Universe Online in the fourth quarter of 2022. There’s The Witching Hour fall seasonal event this October and the Season's Greedings winter seasonal event in December. Both events offer new festive rewards.
Players are also reminded to keep a close watch on sales, new Time Capsules, more monthly Doctor Fate's Daily Rewards, Allies, Artifacts, and bonus weeks.
Plans for 2023
In a post, DC Universe Online Executive Producer Landon “Panderu” Falls revealed that while the focus of the team is primarily on Episode 44 and the seasonal events, they’re working on Episode 45 with a plan to roll it out sometime in early 2023. There are also new allies, new artifacts, and the new Custom Play On Duty UI.
DC Universe Online is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
