Microsoft and Capcom released a new Dead Rising 4 trailer over the weekend -- though we don’t blame anyone who was too busy with Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2 and/or Xur’s weekly visit to notice -- using Halloween as an excuse to preview costumes and weapons in Dead Rising 4 . It’s also a great reminder that, while most of the 2016 release calendar has come and gone, there are still a few big launches between now and the end of the year.
While none of the features from this week’s trailer are new to the Dead Rising franchise, since zany costumes and strange weapons have been part of the DR franchise since day one, but many of the combinations featured in the new “ Combo-Ween ” trailer are unique to Dead Rising 4 . The same can be said for the game’s cornucopia of costumes, which run the gamut from rubber dinosaur masks and Santa suits to creepy clown makeup and cowboy get-ups. DR4 will probably still include plenty of costumes and weapons from previous games in the series but there don’t seem to be any shortage of new disguises or tools in Dead Rising 4 .
