Bungie is finally giving Destiny players a way to expedite the reputation-building process when the game’s fourth expansion debuts next Tuesday. The studio also released details on a pair of new hotfixes that will debut ahead of Destiny: Rise of Iron, each intended to fix known issues with Destiny Update 2.4.0, the massive patch paving the way for the next batch of DLC.
According to a GameSpot report, Destiny: Rise of Iron will add a new item to the Eververse Trading Company inventory; an item that will increase the rate at which Destiny players improve their reputation with the House of Judgment. The item will also be added to the game’s loot table for Radiant and Sterling treasures; however, it will not be a common drop. The only way to ensure you’ll get the boost will be to purchase Silver, using real money, and spending it on House of Judgment Reputation Boosters at Tess Everiss’ shop. She’ll also sell boosters to improve Vanguard and Crucible reputation gains.
In addition to revealing the reputation boosters, Bungie also outlined its plans to release two more hotfixes for Destiny ahead of the game’s fourth expansion. Both target known issues with Destiny Update 2.4.0, though more than half a dozen major issues remain, The new patches will be introduced “simultaneously”; however, it’s not clear if they’ll appear as separate downloads when you fire up your PS4 on Monday.
Here’s what Bungie says they’re fixing with the pre-ROI hotfixes:
- Film Grain issues introduced in Update 2.4.0
- Issues impacting Revive Timers
- Quest Tracking on some Vendors, Cosmodrome, and Mars
- Volume issues impacting some lines from Lord Shaxx in the Crucible
