Dishonored 2 releases on Friday, Nov. 11, and gamers all over will want to jump into Karnaca as Emily or Corvo as early as possible. The good news is those looking to get in and start playing will be able to do so right at midnight.
Pre-ordering Dishonored 2 will unlock the game a day early across all platforms. If you want to play before anyone else, pre-ordering on Steam, the PlayStation Store or the Xbox Store will allow you to play on Nov. 10.
According to the Dishonored 2 listing on the Xbox Store, the game will be available to start playing right at 12 a.m. EST on Nov. 11 for those not interested in pre-ordering. It’s unknown for sure, but this is likely going to be a local-time release, so those on the West Coast will also have to stay up late to get playing.
If you are downloading on PS4 or Xbox One, be sure to have plenty of hard drive space cleared up. Dishonored 2 on Xbox One will be 52.28GB and an impressively large 66.3GB on PS4.
Those on PC might have things differently. Steam can be set to release at local times based on where gamers live, or it can be set to a global unlock time, one that’s typically based on Coordinated Universal Time, or UTC. If the latter is the case, U.S.-based gamers typically can start playing a few hours before midnight. Keep an eye on your Steam client to make sure when you can actually begin making stealthy kills or summoning swarms of rats.
