Did you know that the Pokémon Necrozma has more than one form? They're called Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma. These two forms are making their official debut in Pokémon GO during the Pokémon GO Fest 2024.
You see what's going to happen is that trainers can fuse Necrozma into more formidable forms by using Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy. They can get access to these rare sources of power through branching Special Research at the in-person Pokémon GO Fest events in Sendai, Madrid, and New York City.
In addition, beginning with the Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global, trainers can earn Solar Fusion Energy or Lunar Fusion Energy by defeating Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma in Raid Battles or by completing ticketed research tasks.
Pokémon Fusion
With enough Fusion Energy, Necrozma can be fused with either Solgaleo to become Dusk Mane Necrozma or Lunala to become Dawn Wings Necrozma. Here are the details of the fusion:
- Trainers can fuse Necrozma and Solgaleo using 1,000 Solar Fusion Energy, 30 Necrozma Candy, and 30 Cosmog Candy.
- Trainers can fuse Necrozma and Lunala using 1,000 Lunar Fusion Energy, 30 Necrozma Candy, and 30 Cosmog Candy.
By the way, Fused Necrozma remains in the form they're fused in until their Trainer separates them. Separating won't cost any Fusion Energy or Pokémon Candy.

Necrozma fused with Solgaleo into Dusk Mane Necrozma knows the Charged Attack Sunsteel Strike which has these details:
- Trainer Battles: 135 power
- Gyms and raids: 230 power
Necrozma fused with Lunala into Dawn Wings Necrozma knows the Charged Attack Moongeist Beam which has these details:
- Trainer Battles: 135 power
- Gyms and raids: 230 power
Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global
Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma officially make their debut in the game during Day 2 of Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global in raids. Trainers also have the chance to catch Necrozma in its regular form after defeating Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma in raids.
Aside from encountering Necrozma and receiving the typical raid rewards, Trainers can get Solar Fusion Energy or Lunar Fusion Energy from Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma raids respectively. Trainers also receive Cosmog Candy upon successfully completing one of these raids.
