According to Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata, Final Fantasy XV 's season pass will not be included in the Ultimate Collector's Edition. Tabata confirmed this during a fan gathering at Gamescom.

Tabata also confirmed no additional Ultimate Collector's Editions would be forthcoming, despite the game's delay until November. Via Twitter, Tabata explained , "We looked into making more UCE but were told no." The Square Enix Online Store exclusive Ultimate Collector’s Edition costs $269.99 and includes an exclusive Play Arts figure of Noctis, a 192-page hardcover artbook and more.

The season pass for Final Fantasy XV will be bundled in with the Digital Premium Edition, currently available on the Playstation Store and Xbox Game Store for $84.99. The season pass is listed as included in the physical Deluxe Edition retailing at $89.99.

In another interview from Gamescom, Tabata said, “We haven’t started the full development work on the DLC yet. We’re obviously still very much concentrating on getting the main game out there.” The season pass includes additional content which won’t really be developed until after the main game is completed.

REVIEW SUMMARY
Final Fantasy XV
8.5
Combat, Plot, Characters Create Something Flawed, Beautiful, Fantastic
Despite it's flaws, Final Fantasy XV is a milestone achievement: not just for being completed, but for being completed with polish, aplomb and love.
  • Engaging main cast of characters
  • Fun, fast-paced combat
  • A massive, beautiful world to explore
  • The Regalia!
  • Continuous updates have addressed some shortcomings of the initial release
  • Major aspects of the story feel rushed or absent, particularly toward the end of the game
  • Stealth sequences feel out of place
