Final Fantasy Brave Exvius has hit over 5 million users outside of Japan in the first 30 days following its launch.
In a press release, game publisher gumi Inc stated, “To commemorate the milestone and thank fans for their continued support, players who log into FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS from July 26 th 12:00 a.m. ~ July 30 th 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time will receive a total of five rare Summon Tickets and 50 Metal Minituars.”
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius’ listing describes the basic tenets of its story as follows:
“Harnessing the power of the crystals, mankind prospered, nations flourished. But just as day gives way to night, that era of peace proved but a fleeting illusion. Now, as their world stands on the precipice of ruin, two young knights summon visions to their side as they strike out on a journey to chase the shadows. So begins a new tale of crystals, and the heroes who would save them...”
Square Enix has a few other mobile games up for offer, including a port of Final Fantasy IX and the nostalgia-driven Final Fantasy Record Keeper. But Brave Exvius plays more like a classic Final Fantasy series entry, with 2D graphics, turn-based battles and CG movies you see when you use Summon spells.
The free-to-play mobile entry in the Final Fantasy series has 6.5 million players in Japan and is available on both iOS and Android.
