In the first clip from The Flash Season 3 episode 1, “Flashpoint,” Barry learns his seemingly perfect new life isn’t so perfect after all. Eobard Thawne’s Reverse Flash attempts to warn a stubborn Barry he’s living in a mirage, where each passing moment brings irreversible consequences. Watch the two-minute scene below:
“Our common enemy is coming for us both,” Thawne says as he paces around his jail cell. “What common enemy?” Barry asks. “Time,” Thawne responds. “It’s already screwing with you and everybody you love and pretty soon it's going to take me down with you.”
Even though Barry is content with Flashpoint now, he may feel a bit different once his power start fading away. Since Reverse Flash and Barry now have a common enemy, will we see Barry, Wally, and Thawne join forces and work together to attempt to reverse the effects of Flashpoint? Barry will also receive some advice from The original Flash, Jay Garrick, in Season 3 episode 2, “Paradox.” How many speedsters will it take to fix the timeline?
