In the final moments of The Flash Season 3 episode 10, “Borrowing Problems From The Future,” a woman jumped through a portal and landed in Central City. In the next episode, “Dead or Alive,” we’ll officially meet her. She’s Gypsy, a bounty hunter who has a picture of H.R. Wells and could be from his home planet, Earth-19. The promo for The Flash Season 3 episode 11 proves this meta is a force to be reckoned with and Vibe is the only one who can stop her.
“She’s gong to kill me isn’t she?” Cisco says, terrified, after he agrees to face her in a trial by combat. “What are my chances?” he asks Julian. “It’s a pretty solid one,” he responds.
While he’ll be training with Barry practicing his sonic blasts, Vibe is going to learn the most from watching Gypsy, who has similar telepathic and extradimensional powers, including the ability to open breaches (like we saw in the promo). Even though she’s a villain, ultimately, the vibing skills he learns from her are going to help the team take down Savitar.
The Flash returned from midseason break with a strong episode. Two speedsters running around Central City was great and Kid Flash provides some much needed comic relief that Cisco hasn’t been able to fill ever since the death of his brother. But it looks like next week, we’ll see the old silly Cisco back in full swing.
