Promos for The Flash Season 3 episode 13, “Attack on Gorilla City, ” have shown Grodd but now we have what appears to be our first look at his enemy, Solovar, who is depicted here as a white-haired Gorilla. In the comics he’s known to look like all the other gorillas in Gorilla City, but wore a cape, jewels, or armor. But in a few stories, he takes on a more white/grey hair which looks similar to the images below. There were a group of apes from Gorilla City, The Gorilla Knights, who all had white skin in the comics. It’s quite possible Solovar isn’t the only one.
It’s hard to tell for sure in the synopsis, but it appears Grodd may not be a full-on villain in this story. It appears he may have tricked H.R. Wells into coming to Gorilla City, thus luring Barry and the team, to help him take back control of Gorilla City form the corrupt leader, Solovar. In the comics, the situation was reversed.
The Flash Gorilla City event begins Feb. 21.
