There’s a familiar speedster returning to Central City, and she’s truly one of a kind. Jesse Chambers Wells will make her debut as Jesse Quick in The Flash Season 3 episode 3, “Magenta.” The new development aligns with a previous tip that Violett Beane was spotted on set as Jesse Quick wearing “red pants.”

According to the episode synopsis, Jesse and Harrison Wells travel from Earth-2 back to Earth-1. Wells reveals Jesse gained speedster abilities and is now a hero on their Earth. It’s unclear if her newfound powers are the result of the particle accelorator explosion, being zapped in coma by Barry's speed force, or because of Flashpoint.

Wells, a worry-wort as usual, has brought Jesse back to Central City to ask Team Flash to talk her out of using her powers. But we all know that’s not going to happen. Barry and Jesse are probably going to geek out together and once she finds out Wally is a speedster too. There’s no way she’s giving up heroics that fast.

Jesse Quick marks the eighth speedster appearing in The Flash Season 3. In addition to Barry and Wally, there’s the original Flash, Jay Garrick from Earth-3, who was recently giving Barry some advice in a photo from Season 3 episode 2, "Paradox." The rest of Season 3’s speedsters are villains.

The Reverse Flash is back, and he’s bringing a whole team with him. Eobard Thawne is a member of DCTV’s newest supervillain group, the Legion of Doom, a squad consisting of The Dark Archer, Captain Cold and Damien Darhk. Then we have The Rival played by Todd Lasance-- the devilish looking guy prancing around in a black suit in set photos who we all thought was Savitar.

As it turns out, Savitar will still have a role this season as more of a psychological villain. Named after the Hindu god of motion, he has powers no other speedster has ever been able to master. He can create force fields and lend speed to others who have no connection to the speed force. During his quest for more speed knowledge, he aims to defeat various incarnations of The Flash along the way, including Wally West, Jay Garrick and Jesse Quick.

Last but certainly not least there’s Zoom, who we think will probably be reincarnated as The Black Flash since he was sucked into the speed force by time wraiths at the end of last season. “You can’t keep a good Black Flash down, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing him in the future,” teased executive producer Andrew Kreisberg back in August.

The good news is we’ll hopefully see The Flash, Kid Flash and Jesse Quick team up to defeat Magenta, a metahuman with metal-morphing powers. Check out the Season 3 episode 3 synopsis below.

EARTH-2 WELLS AND JESSE RETURN TO CENTRAL CITY — Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash are thrilled to reunite with Earth-2 Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Jesse (guest star Violett Beane). Wells confides to Barry and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) that Jesse has all the powers of a speedster and has been saving people on his Earth. He is concerned about her safety and wants them to talk her out of using her powers. Meanwhile, Magenta, (guest star Joey King) a new meta who can control metal, terrorizes the city.

The Flash returns Oct. 4.
