Arya Stark’s storyline is one of few in Game of Thrones Season 6 where we really don’t know which direction it will take. Arya is no longer in the House of Black and White with the Faceless Men, but she’s learned a great deal in her training.
So where will Game of Thrones Season 6 take Arya? We see Walder Frey and Jaime Lannister in the show’s season finale trailer, and it immediately brings you back to the Red Wedding. It’s curious to see a Lannister-Frey reunion shortly after Arya seemingly leaves Braavos, which makes us wonder if she’ll go back to Westeros on the hunt for people on her kill list. It’s only fitting if the first place she stops is none other than the Frey residence.
Think about it. Arya is now equipped with the skills of the Faceless Men and a strong sense of self. It seems like Jaqen H’ghar is proud of Arya for staying true to herself despite his attempt to make her no one. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Jaqen allows Arya to use the faces in the House of Black and White, or at least turn a blind eye to it.
It’s plausible for Arya to make her way to Riverrun from Braavos on a revenge tour. She could easily disguise herself to poison Walder Frey’s drink and kill the man who slaughtered her mother and brother in a reverse Red Wedding. It would be the perfect opportunity for Arya, but whether she’d be back in time for the dinner is unclear.
Of course, a reverse Red Wedding would seem too good to be true. Arya has no way of knowing what’s going on in Westeros, so it would be convenient if the show put her in Riverrun so quickly after leaving the Faceless Men. Arya might also want to take care of a few names before hitting up Riverrun.

You’ll have to catch HBO’s Game of Thrones Season 6 finale at 9 p.m. EDT on Sunday, June 26 to see what happens to Arya and Walder Frey. Either way, Walder has to die. There has to be greater reason for his return than to give Jaime a storyline.
