Game of Thrones Season 6 cast member Ian McShane has no sympathy for any of George R.R. Martin’s crazy super fans who claim he “spoiled” the show for them. McShane recently spoke to The Daily Telegraph about the accusations of spoiling the plot for Season 6.
McShane didn’t say what he was referring to, but it’s likely he was referring to comments made during an interview with Radio 5 Live . McShane teased a few details about his Game of Thrones role, and the Internet went crazy.
“The character is like a former warrior who has renounced violence and now leads this peace cult,” McShane said to Radio 5 Live, “I have nursed a loved character, a much loved character back to life. And he reintroduces—I won’t say him or her—but it’s a character whose much loved who everyone thinks is dead. But he’s not dead.”
Many people believe McShane was referring to The Hound, but that doesn’t mean it’s true. The actor told The Daily Telegraph he doesn’t understand why people are so sensitive about Game of Thrones .
“You say the slightest thing and the Internet goes ape,” McShane said. “I was accused of giving the plot away, but I just think get a fucking life. It’s only tits and dragons."
McShane is not wrong. You can count on at least one dragon sighting and lots of female nudity. Now if only there was just as much male nudity in Game of Thrones ...one can only hope HBO increases the male butt to female breast ratio in the upcoming season. Game of Thrones Season 6 returns to HBO on April 24.
