It’s time for another weekly update for Grand Theft Auto Online, and today is extra special, as it marks the official grand opening of the The Diamond Casino & Resort. Players who log in and play this week will find an array of exclusive activities waiting for them, in addition to amazing opportunities for new missions, vehicles, collectibles and so much more.
First off, you’ve got the Casino floors, which are bursting with stuff to try your hand at, like Roulette, Blackjack and Three Card Poker. You can also test your luck at the Slot Machines, bet on your favorite horses with your friends at the Inside Track, or spin the Lucky Wheel, a daily free-to-spin activity. The Lucky Wheel holds a great range of prizes, like GTA$, special discounts, and clothing items. You can even get a chance to win the high-end vehicle on display at the podium, which changes every week.
You can purchase a Standard Membership package to The Diamond Casino & Resort with GTA$500, which also comes with 5,000 Chips and access to several services and activities the Casino has to offer including Valet Parking.
For those who were quick enough to take advantage of last week’s promo with Twitch Prime, you can now enjoy the finest in luxury the Diamond has to offer with the Master Penthouse. Customize it however you please with room for eight additional add-ons, including a Lounge Area, Media Room, Spa, Bar and Party Hub, Private Dealer, Office, Extra Bedroom and Garage.
Ownership of a Penthouse also comes with VIP Memberships, granting you access to the best amenities possible like complimentary Valet, Champagne, and Limousine Services, as well as Aircraft Concierge and access to High Limit tables and VIP Lounges. New co-operative missions and a range of Casino Work to tackle in the game’s Freemode will also present itself to you.
The missions themselves revolve around Tao Cheng and The Diamond staff, who find themselves in serious trouble as a hostile takeover by the Duggans, a ruthless Texan petrochemical family, looms on the horizon. This whole new action-packed storyline is perfect for groups of two to four players.
If you’re in the market for some high-end decorations to hang in your new Penthouse, then the Casino Store has it all for you. You can also find a rotating selection of curated clothing and accessories, all purchasable with chips.
The luxury isn’t entirely revolved around what’s inside The Diamond, but within its parking garages as well. Put that covered Parking Garage or the valet service to work with a host of new vehicles to own and customize, now available in the showroom floors of Southern San Andreas Super Autos and Legendary Motorsport.
This week, you’ll find the Truffade Thrax supercar spinning on the podium of The Diamond as it’s being offered as the prize for the Lucky Wheel. You can purchase it as well, if you aren't lucky enough to win one. Also available now through Legendary Motorsport is the Obey 8F Drafter sports car, Annis S80RR super car and Enus Paragon R sports car. Likewise, the Weeny Issi Sport or Vapid Caracara 4x4 from Southern San Andreas Super Autos are now available, with all of the new cars eligible for entry in a new Race Series consisting of three brand new land racetracks in addition to four classic, fan-favorite courses.
This huge update also has some secrets to go along with it. There are some new hidden collectibles in the form of old-school playing cards, with 54 of them scattered across the state waiting to be found. Those who do find these cards are rewarded with RP and Chip bonuses. Find and collect them all to unlock the High Roller Outfit, plus a very unique card set for your Private Dealer back at the Penthouse. Stay tuned later in the year as well, as getting all 54 cards will also unlock a special item for Red Dead Online.
The Bar and Party Hub add-on in the Penthouse also adds some very exclusive and new offerings for your arcade cabinets, as The Diamond has secured the rights for Invade and Persuade II and Street Crimes: Gang Wars Edition. Fight the evil of boredom with these two Degenatron classics today.
The Diamond Casino & Resort is also celebrating its grand opening with a freebie and tons of discounts, plus some very exclusive benefits from inside The Diamond Program. To kick things off, make sure to claim your Blue Diamond Resort LS Tee, completely free before July 31. Make sure to get some new furnishings for that helipad atop The Diamond as well, with 40 percent off a selection of helicopters this week, including the Buckingham Swift Deluxe, Supervolito, Supervolito Carbon, and Volatus.
To celebrate the grand opening of The Diamond Casino & Resort, The Diamond Program will take VIP Membership status to another level of self-indulgent luxury, coming in with an assortment of perks and various rewards. Make sure to participate in all of these events before August 7 in order to experience everything The Diamond Program can offer its members.
- Silver Status – the first tier is acquired by purchasing (or redeeming) a Master Penthouse. Members within this tier will get the exclusive “She’s Loaded” Wall Art, as well as a Diamond Classic Tee.
- Gold Status – completing the second co-operative mission, “House Keeping,” will upgrade Silver members to Gold Status, unlocking an exclusive livery for the new Truffade Thrax, with a matching Truffade Tee to boot.
- Platinum Status – getting down and dirty with more work is the only way to reach Platinum, and for Gold members to be able to move up, they must complete 5 Casino Work Missions for head of operations Agatha Baker. Doing so will rewards players with Lucky 7s Tattoo as well as the Casino Store’s accessory of choice, the Kronos Ära Watch.
- Diamond Status – the coveted Diamond Status is reserved only for those members who go for the long run. This entails completing all co-operative missions and earns you exclusive liveries.
