Rockstar has been riding on the success of GTA V since 2013, releasing DLC (for GTA Online anyway) every year to make the game feel as current as possible. On Rockstar’s Twitter page on Sunday morning, a teaser image popped up showing the company’s logo surrounded by a sea of red. It’s not entirely sure what the image means, some say it’s for a Red Dead Redemption sequel , while others think it might have to do with a GTA V Halloween event.
A Halloween weather patch was added a couple days ago for GTA V , complete with spooky atmosphere and rain falling hard. Rockstar also added Tron lightcycles into the game, because the best way to get around Los Santos is on what the 1980s thought computers did.
Still, the current GTA V Halloween event is kind of lackluster, especially compared to the monstrous Halloween Terror event that’s happening over at Overwatch . Rockstar could be releasing something a bit spookier in the coming weeks, maybe some brain hungry zombies that would definitely stain everything red.
This teaser image could literally mean anything. If it’s Red Dead Redemption or a GTA V zombie update then I’d be happy that I’m right, but for all we know it could be a new IP entirely.
