Hearthstone players from around the world voted to see the newest Legendary from the next expansion, Mean Streets Of Gadgetzan. For weeks, fans have been clicking the Hearthstone main page to fill up the meter, which ended with “grabbing a cannoli.” The final card has been revealed – Don Han’cho , the crime boss of the Grimy Goons.
Don Han’cho is a Legendary tri-class card for Hunter, Paladin and Warrior. The two-headed ogre is a 5/6 minion that costs seven mana and has a Battlecry that gives a random minion in your hand +5/+5. You read that right, for seven man, you get 11/11 worth of stats. This angry brute gives more pure stats than any other card in Hearthstone. I can’t see any reason why this card won’t be a staple in any of the three classes that can run it.
It pretty much doesn’t matter what card Don Han’cho buffs, it will still be worth it. Want to summon a 0-mana Murloc Tinyfin with a 6/6 body? Now you can, with just a little luck from the RNG gods. For seven mana, 5/6 is kind of terrible, but as long as it buffs a minion, it is getting some insane value. Stranglethorn Tiger with 10/10 and Stealth? Sure why not, that doesn’t sound broken in the slightest.
Think of how amazing Don Han’cho is going to be in new Hunter decks. If the ogre’s Battlecry hits a Rat Pack , that’s seven 1/1 Beats for three mana. Just imagining that happen makes my mouth water with delight. There’s no doubt in my mind that the Don will be a staple in all decks that can run him. He still might not be as good as Sylvanus or Ragnaros , but he’s damn near close.
For some odd reason, the reddit Hearthstone community thinks this card is trash. I just don’t see it that way. On pure stats alone, it’s one of the best cards in the game and combining it with Dispatch Kodo makes for a truly nasty combo. I think, this is one of those cards that everyone pans at first, but will quickly define a meta, like Loatheb or Dr. Boom.
