Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima was scared his latest project with The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus would leak before his big E3 2016 reveal.
Kojima recently talked about his new project, Death Stranding , during his HideoTube series on YouTube. Kojima explained he was too nervous to tell people he would be at E3 2016 and barely slept before the event. Only a few people were aware of the Death Stranding announcement, to make sure no one said anything ahead of the Sony press conference.
"So every single year, there are leaks before E3," Kojima said in the latest episode of his HideoTube series. “So we didn't let more than five people at Sony know about [the reveal]."
It’s Kojima’s first project under his new studio, Kojima Productions, and he’s definitely feeling the pressure to succeed. Kojima’s Death Stranding announcement was a welcome surprise at E3 2016. The teaser featured a naked Reedus clutching a baby to his chest and things only get weirder from there. The baby eventually disappears, leaving Reedus’ hands covered in a black liquid.
Check out what Kojima had to say about his E3 2016 experience in the video below. Death Stranding does not have an official release date.
