While Apple readies for its media event on March 21, tech insiders are already looking at the latest details regarding the upcoming flagship iPhone 7. Now, alleged images of the iPhone 7 chassis have leaked online via NowhereElse.fr.
First off, the latest iPhone 7 technical renders reveal that while the new architecture will feature a line at the bottom edge, it will no longer have the horizontal antenna lines that run across the back. Secondly, the renders also feature a larger hole for the rear-facing camera. The hole is also positioned slightly closer to the edge of the frame compared to the iPhone 6 and 6s. No doubt, a camera upgrade is in store for the upcoming flagship.
Previous patent leaks suggested that Apple is working on a dual-camera setup, which does not fit the description of these iPhone 7 images. However, the report from NowhereElse.fr is strictly for the standard 4.7-inch model, whereas the dual-camera module is rumored to be a premium design for the rumored 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Pro.
Obviously, the rendered images from NowhereElse.fr are not official, but the blog has consistently leaked major iPhone details in the past. We expect to learn more about the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, as well as the alleged iPhone 7 Pro model in the months ahead. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned as we anticipate the new iPhone 5 SE model at the upcoming Apple media event on March 21.
