Jared Leto's Joker: Actor Wants Clown Prince To Appear In Ben Affleck's 'Batman' Movie

Ben Affleck is our Batman; not as good as Christian Bale but nowhere near as terrible as George Clooney’s bat nipples. The star of Batman vs. Superman is currently co-writing a solo Batman movie that he also plans to direct. What we will get from “Batfleck” is anyone’s guess, but he will appear for a few scenes in August’s Suicide Squad and has a major role in the highly anticipated Justice League movie.

Jared Leto, who plays the Joker in Suicide Squad, would love to appear alongside the caped crusader. Leto told the Toronto Sun:

“I think it would be incredible to see Batman and the Joker go head-to-head! This Batman and this Joker. I mean, I don’t know, that might be too much! But that would be fun.”

Leto wants to play the Clown Prince of Crime again and hopes that the character's introduction in Suicide Squad won’t be his last appearance:

“I hope it’s an introduction (of the Joker) … and not the end! Because I could easily just play the Joker a couple more times and then retire. Because it’s so fulfilling and so creative and it’s so imaginative. It’s really difficult to think about doing anything else!”

The Joker and Batman have a long history together, spending over seven decades constantly fighting each other to the bitter end. If Affleck wants his movie to stand out from the countless other Batmen franchises, he might want to shy away from using the Joker. Batman is amazing because of his rogue’s gallery. The villains he fights are often more interesting than whatever the Caped Crusader is doing. In order to truly make a great Batman movie, Affleck is going to have to pull out an unexpected villain, like the Penguin or Manbat.

I just really want to see Manbat in a live action movie before this superhero movie craze is over.
