There are many legendary League of Legends personalities. There’s Scarra, our plumpy Baron thrower , Imaqtpie, the long-haired Donger master and then there’s Dyrus, the Hawaiian with the heart of gold. Last week Dyrus tweeted that if TSM lost their game against Pheonix1, he would shave his head. TSM has gone undefeated this split and P1 is a struggling middle-of the-pack team, so he thought his hair was safe.
Turns out P1 had an inner super saiyan to unleash, because they managed to beat TSM 2-1. Dyrus later tweeted that he was “just kidding,” but the internet is unforgiving. Hundreds of fans stormed his Twitter, saying that he can’t go back on his promise. On Wednesday’s episode of Primetime League, Riot’s League of Legends talk show, Dyrus lost his hair.
Jatt, one of League’s main analysts, agreed to shave Dyrus’ head. What comes next is 10 minutes of disappointed Dyrus. The former TSM top laner never really shows emotion; his monotone voice and neutral demeanor are often hard to read. After watching Dyrus stare at a tiny hand mirror with a bald head, I can now say I know what he looks like sad.
I doubt Dyrus will be making any bets on Twitter any time soon.
