The League of Legends World Championship starts Thursday with the Group Stages duking it out for a chance to move on. If you haven’t kept it with LOL esports, or don’t even understand the game very well, this might be your chance to jump in. Knowledgeable casters like Phreak and Jatt will go in-depth in their analysis of the game to help even the newest novice understand why that cow is fighting alongside that sheriff.
You can watch the League of Legends World Championship on either Riot’s Twitch or YouTube stream. They will be streaming the entire event, with the Group Stages taking eight days to fully play out. Each team will play every other team in their group at least twice, and the two teams with the most wins will move on to the knockout stage.
My life has been really boring without competitive League of Legends to watch, so I’m super excited to finally see my favorite teams go to the rift. Will G2 choke like they did at MSI, or will they prove why EU isn’t a bad region? Will Faker do #Fakerthings or will SK Telecom fail to live up to expectations? The opportunities are endless and I will be making sure to watch (and cover) the whole event.
Here’s Riot’s YouTube page, which in my opinion is the best way to watch. You can increase the quality to 1080p and rewind whatever you missed.
