The wait for the newest member of the League of Legends roster continues this week, following the early January reveal of Jhin, the Virtuoso, but Riot Games is giving fans a closer look at a recently retooled champion from the League of Legends roster while we wait.
A new champion spotlight debuted on Monday, highlighting the Shen update announced alongside League of Legends Patch 6.1, and our first glimpse of LoL’s resident ninja suggests Shen will be more dangerous than ever when he returns to the League of Legends roster. The seven-minute clip also gives players a look at many of the Shen skins currently available for purchase from League of Legends in-game store. As usual, the champion spotlight also gives players a basic rundown of all Shen’s abilities.
From what we can tell, the new-and-improved Shen will be significantly more versatile than the ninja used to be. Riot’s latest champion spotlight offers players tips for how to be effective during the early game, strategies for jungling and even best practices for the use of Shen’s ult, Stand United. While he might not be quite as devastating to the meta as a brand new champion, like Jhin, something tells us League of Legends players can expect to see Shen a lot more frequently in 2016.
If you haven’t already, take a couple of minutes to watch the new Shen champion spotlight from Riot Games. Then head down to the comments section and let us know what you think of the Shen update coming to League of Legends sometime in the next few weeks.
