League of Legends Patch 12.11 is finally here. Previously, some champions were almost unplayable because of the effects brought by the Durability update. So, the developers made changes to make sure they fit back into the current meta.
We will focus on champion buffs for Irelia, Sylas, and Samira.
Irelia
Irelia, the Blade Dancer, got hit hard last patch with the healing nerfs on her kit. To balance it, the developers have increased her Bladesurge's (Q) healing from 7/8/9/10/11% AD to 9/10/11/12/13% AD, which should help her sustain more during fights. Besides that, Irelia’s Flawless Duet (E) cooldown has reduced in the earlier ranks from 18/16.5/15/13.5/12 to 16/15/14/13/12 seconds. This should allow players to make more plays around her stun, which is one of the most important parts of her kit as it resets her Q.
Sylas
Sylas used to burst enemies down, but all that changed when everyone received additional stats that helped them stay alive longer. The developers stated that they won’t buff his burst damage. However, his Kingslayer (W) was buffed to make him useful in team fights:
- Mana cost: From 60/70/80/90/100 to 50/60/70/80/90
- Healing: From 20/40/60/80/100 (+35% AP) to 20/40/60/80/100 (+40% AP)
His Abscond/Abduct (E) ability has reduced cooldown from 14/13/12/11/10 to 13/12/11/10/9 seconds, which should help him engage or disengage fights more often.
Samira
Samira received some buffs to help her face enemies in the late game. Starting with her AD growth now increased to 3.3 from 3 per level. Samira’s AD at level 18 without any items comes to a total of 113.1 from 108.
Samira’s Flair (Q) has also been buffed in terms of scaling:
- Now: 0/5/10/15/20 (+85/95/105/115/125% AD)
- Previous: 0/5/10/15/20 (+80/90/100/110/120% AD)
These buffs will only help her get to the later stages of the game. So, make sure you don’t get too aggressive early or you'll lose your lead or maybe the game.
Similarly, Aphelios, Caitlyn, Gragas, Lee Sin, and a few other champions received buffs that should help them in the longer run, and you can read more about them here.
