League of Legends Patch 12.14 is finally here! This update nerfs several champions that are dominating the current meta; these champions have high pick rates and do really well in most games. So, the developers gave them slight adjustments to tone down their power.
Here, we will focus on the nerfs for Seraphine and Zeri.
Seraphine
Seraphine has taken the spotlight as a result of the Durability Update and the buffs she received in Update 12.12. She’s been played in multiple roles including ADC, support, and mid with amazing win rates. So, the developers reduced her healing and shielding capabilities.
Surround Sound (W)
Seraphine's Surround Sound (W) is the only nerfed in her kit update because the developers don’t want to take her damage away. The AP ratio for shield and heal per ally is reduced; this will specify her true role on the Rift. Check the numbers below:
- Shield: From 50/70/90/110/130 (+35% AP) to 50/70/90/110/130 (+25% AP).
- Heal Per Ally: From 5/5.5/6/6.5/7% (+0.6% per 100 AP) missing health to 5/5.5/6/6.5/7% (+0.4% per 100 AP) missing health.
The nerf will not remove her from the meta. But the changes will now define what she's itemizing for.
Zeri
Zeri has been adjusted in almost every patch ever since her release. This update is no different with a small nerf to her Lightning Crash (R) ultimate and changes to Burst Fire (Q). Her ability to win duels and clear waves effectively due to her increased damage to low-health enemies made her quite a threat. So, the developers ensure that this increased damage to low-health enemies only stays for last-hitting minions.
- Burst Fire (Q)
- ELECTROCUTION (NEW)
- Right clicks execute enemies with health under 60-150 (levels 1-18)(+18% AP).
- LOW ON BATTERY (Removed)
- Uncharged Zeri’s right click attack no longer does increased damage to enemies below a certain health threshold.
- Lightning Crash (R)
- Bonus Magic Damage: From 10/15/20 (+15% AP) to 5/10/15 (+15% AP).
These changes can make her weak in the meta. So, make sure to pick her only to counter certain champions.
Similarly, Gnar, Renata, Sivir, and a few more also received nerfs, and you can read more about them here.
