'League Of Legends' Teases New Jungler Champion? Riot Adds Strange Voiceover To The PBE

An interesting little teaser just appeared on the League of Legends PBE. In today’s update, a new voiceover and song was added to the game. Riot likes to add little hints on the PBE when a new champion is coming, like Kindred’s mark appearing randomly over your champion’s head or Bard’s mask appearing all over Summoner’s Rift .

These new voiceover lines are all about jungle camps and spoken softly by an older gentleman who almost sounds grandfatherly. These lines can be activated by interacting with different jungle monsters, like killing Gromp or Krugs. If you dance with “Daisy,” also known as blue buff, the song starts to play. Here’s the full list of voiceover lines from Moobeat at Surrender@20 :

  • "Poor Gromp. He was a prince amongst toads. "

  • "You will be missed old friend, warts and all. "

  • "Goodbye Gromp, or as you would say, ribbit. "

  • "Hop to that lilypad in the sky, old friend. "

  • "Wait 'til you see Daisy's dance moves!

  • "Everyone wins in a dance off."

  • "Next time, more petting and less stabbing. "

  • "A tragic end for such a noble friend."

  • "Can I cut in? Yes? No. I'll- I'll come back later. "

  • "Why kill when you can simply ask?"

  • "What a shame, he could've been a mountain. "

  • "How can anyone kill someone as cuddly as Krugs?"

  • "Farewell Krugs, I shall miss our long talks."

These lines are available in every language as well, meaning that they are going to go live somewhere in the next patch. The next champion might be a jungler who would rather be friends with a jungle camp instead of killing them, but that’s pure speculation. It would be great if Riot introduced a jungler who worked in such a unique and interesting way, but it might be too game breaking. Imagine how awesome it would be to gain experience from hugging Baron though.
