LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will feature levels set before Episode 7, and we get our first look at them today. Many of these levels don’t seem to really fill in any information from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but they do look fun.
As seen in the trailer above, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will have six pre-movie levels. They are:
Han and Chewie capturing the ravenous Rathtars
The story behind Lor San Tekka’s journey to the Jakku Village
Poe’s rescue of Admiral Ackbar
The notorious Outer Rim pirate, the Crimson Corsair, foiling the plans of the First Order
The events leading up to C-3PO getting a red arm
A clue for how the Resistance and the First Order find Lor San Tekka on Jakku
The new levels will feature voice acting from many of the top stars of The Force Awakens, including Harrison Ford, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and more.
As for other changes coming with LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we’ve already detailed the three major updates to the typical LEGO formula for players to expect. This time around, players will have Blaster Battles, Dogfights, and Multi-Builds.
Blaster Battles - At times, players will find themselves stumbling into a massive group of enemies. When this happens, players can take cover behind nearby objects and pop out to pick off enemies one by one.
Multi-builds - In all previous LEGO games, players often found small piles of LEGO bricks that could be quickly built into something with the press of a button. Now, these piles can be built into multiple objects, creating new puzzles and branching paths.
Dogfights - Earlier LEGO games featured flying, but those sections were largely on rails with little player control. New segments in The Force Awakens lets players fly around in arenas, picking off enemies with style
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens releases June 28 for just about every console including PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS, PS Vita and PC.
