The Mr. Robot Season 2 finale ended with a bang as Elliot realized Tyrell Wellick is very much real and that the wheels of stage 2 are in motion. Wheels that might actually bring down Evil Corp for good. Warning: spoilers for the Mr. Robot Season 2 finale below.
In episode 12 of Mr. Robot Season 2 we learn that Evil Corp is moving all of its paper records of its books to one centralized location in order rebuild what was lost with the 5/9 hack. Stage 2 is a joint plan between the Dark Army, fsociety, Tyrell, Elliot and Angela to blow up that building using Malware. As Elliot finally realizes the plan he wrongfully thinks Tyrell is in his head (so did we) and he tries to stop the attack. That's when Tyrell shoots Elliot.
After the shocking revelation that Angela and Tyrell not only know each other but also have all apparently been working together the screen goes to black. Unshockingly we were treated to another scene after the credits rolled. The post-credits scene for Mr. Robot Season 2 isn't quite as jarring and narrative shattering as the Season 1 post-credits scene. Wednesday night we finally Mobley and Trenton in disguise sitting outside a box store in who knows where. Trenton wants to talk business but Mobley said enough risks have been taken already.
After some convincing Trenton explains to Mobley that she found something that could revert things back to normal, restore what was lost with the 5/9 hack. That's when we see Leon appear for the first time since the prison reveal episode. He walks up to the table and asks "do you have the time?" End scene. It looks like the Dark Army might be going with the Angela route and trying to convince those two that it's in their best interest to not share any information.
Obviously the finale answered some lingering questions but created even more. Has Angela been working with the Dark Army and Tyrell all along? How much do Dom and the FBI know? How has Tyrell been working with all parties involved? Unfortunately we'll have to wait until next summer for Mr. Robot Season 3 to debut.
