USA has officially renewed Mr. Robot for a third season. The hit TV series starring Rami Malek about a hacker who suffers from delusions (or so we think) will be back in 2017, according to Deadline .
Mr. Robot follows the story of Elliot Alderson, a cyber-security engineer who uses his hacking skills to expose bad guys who hurt people. Elliot is recruited by a mysterious hacker group, fsociety, to take down Evil Corp and wipe out the world’s debts. The show quickly became a hit amongst younger audiences due to its themes about society’s obsession with wealth and technology.
“We couldn’t be more proud of Mr. Robot , a series that has pushed boundaries, captured the cultural zeitgeist, and been honored as one of the best dramas on television,” said Chris McCumber president of entertainment networks for NBCUniversal, in a news release. “Midway through its second season, Mr. Robot continues to break new ground and open up new opportunities for the network.”
Mr. Robot is currently in its second season. Catch Mr. Robot Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on USA.
