Photos released for the finale of Game of Thrones Season 6 on HBO are jam-packed with plot details from the upcoming episode. It looks like we have a lot in store for us in this final episode, already announced to be the longest episode of Game of Thrones ever put to screen.
There’s plenty of ground to cover and it looks like at least a bit of it will be North of the Wall. Here’s Bran:
While we have yet to see images of Benjen Stark, it seems Bran and his ragged party are still heading south for the Wall. Will Bran accidentally let the Night’s King slip through?
HBO also released some pictures of people hanging out. Davos Seaworth is one hell of a loiterer.
Okay, but let’s get to the good stuff. HBO is pumping out tons of photos from a Lannister/Frey dinner in the Game of Thrones Season 6 finale. A lot of theories are kicking around about this meal, the most prominent being the possibility of Arya popping in for a showstopping Walder assassination. Whether or not this scene will be righteous turnaround for the Red Wedding, it certainly looks like a menacing affair. Reminds me of the dinner scene in Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Finally, we have photos from a scene we’ve been waiting for all season long. The trial of Ser Loras Tyrell has begun! Is Cersei on the docket for the same day? We can’t be sure just yet, but it’s safe to say that if Cersei has any tricks up her sleeves, this is the episode where she’d bust ‘em out. Perhaps a little… wildfire?
No one really knows what’s going down in the Game of Thrones Season 6 finale, but these photos from HBO at least promise a wider variety of settings than last episode’s strict division between Daenerys and Jon Snow.
If Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 10 is anything like episode 9, then it looks like Season 6 will be going out with a bang.
