New ‘Justice League’ Animated Series Recruits… Space Cabbie? [PHOTO]

The Justice League Action release date hasn’t been announced, but Cartoon Network’s latest promo art shows an interesting addition to the team: Space Cabbie. In the bottom left, Space Cabbie’s space taxi is pictured and looking closely, you can see his face peering from the window.

Not too much is known about Space Cabbie aside from the fact he’s an expert driver/interstellar pilot who can take anyone absolutely anywhere in the entire universe. A few of his adventures feature Superman.

The promo art also confirms the appearance of Green Arrow, Firestorm and Plastic Man. We saw their black and white outlines in the shadows of the initial concept art, but the deep red background color made it hard to verify the speculation was correct.

Like Teen Titans Go! , Justice League Action will feature installments of 11-minute episodes. Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy will reprise their roles as The Joker and Batman respectively. The duo gained fame from the 1990’s classic, Batman: The Animated Series .

Maybe the next promo art will feature Hawkman, Zatanna, Shazam, The Flash and Blue Beetle, all teased in the background of the initial concept art as well. Additional (unofficial) art spotted by Batpedia (Via ComicBook.com) earlier in June also teased The Riddler, Doctor Fate, Doctor LIght, Mr. Terrific, Killer Croc, Martian Manhunter, Big Barda, Harley Quinn, Lobo, Satan Girl and a few other faces that are difficult to make out.

The official description for Justice League Action follows:

Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman lead the DC Comics Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge.

Justice League Action is expected to release in fall 2016.
