There’s only one word that can describe the new Supergirl teaser: epic. This is not your normal DC TV teaser. It actually feels more like a video game trailer. Fittingly titled ‘Take off,’ there’s just silence before Supergirl’s feet crack the Earth in slow motion and she leaps up into the sky giving us an aerial view of National City.

The CW also released a slew of new stills from the first two episodes of Supergirl Season 2. In the first batch for the premiere episode, ‘Adventures of Supergirl,’ we get our first look at Clark Kent in plain clothes ( View all 8 here ). It appears Kara is introducing him to the team, as we see him with Jimmy Olsen and Cat Grant. This is also our first look at Lena Luthor, who we know now will appear in the first episode and apparently has some business with Kara and Clark.

The second batch of stills for the second episode, ‘The Last Children of Krypton’ get a bit more interesting (View all 16 here). Aside from the fact nearly all the photos showcase Superman in full costume, he’s also seen having what looks to be quite a serious conversation with Martian Manhunter. There’s a Martian-Kryptonian staring contest happening in one picture, and in another, Superman appears to forcefully lay his hand on J’onn J’onzz’s chest.

We still have yet to see Mon-El, who landed in National City in the finale, in any of the promo content. The photos also showed no sign of classic Superman villain, Metallo, who will also appear in the premiere episode.
Supergirl returns to The CW on Oct. 10.
