The extended trailer for Ghost of Tsushima was revealed last night at The Game Awards, giving more insight to awaiting fans. This trailer is essentially an extended version of the same trailer released during Sony's State of Play broadcast. The trailer showcases the gameplay of Ghost of Tsushima in a cinematic fashion.
The trailer begins with a man confronting our Ghost of Tsushima. As the trailer progresses, we learn that people are in a belief that the Ghost had died in battle years ago. The Ghost is also regarded as a mythical figure. But, since the Ghost has survived, he is now on a journey to avenge himself.
A blog post from PlayStation states the new trailer for Ghost of Tsushima sheds some light on the identity of the hero, who is forced to save his homeland. The hero, Jin, starts his adventure as a samurai and throughout the game, he learns more non-samurai-like skills to aid him in his battle against his enemies.
Although an exact date for the game's release is not known, Ghost of Tsushima is set to arrive in Summer 2020 before the anticipated holiday launch of the PS5.
