Remedy creative director Sam Lake became the recipient of the New York Game Awards 2025's Andrew Yoon Legend Award.

This makes Lake join the likes of the legendary video game creator Hideo Kojima, Jerry Lawson, and many other notable individuals. The announcement of the award also came as Lake talked about his career.

He specifically discussed wrapping up Alan Wake II while looking to work on the sequel of Control. Lake also talked a little bit about Remedy's live-action shows and how they came about or are going.

Lake confirmed that the latest Lake House DLC was related to Control 2 and discussed how one specific scene in it was brought to life.

The announcement of Lake's reception of the Andrew Yoon Legend Award comes as the New York Game Awards is scheduled for Jan. 21, 2025.
