Developer Bamtang Games and publisher GameMill Entertainment have officially announced Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway, a new entry to the Kart Racers series coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam sometime this fall. The publisher has not released any gameplay footage yet at the time of writing, but we can expect something similar to its previous entry, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix, but with some key changes that are sure to be appreciated by fans.
Here are the key details as revealed in a press release:
Rebuilt and re-imagined from the ground up, Nickelodeon Kart Racers returns—bigger and better than ever! Featuring a fully voice acted cast of over 40 iconic characters, drift, slide, and boost your way to the finish line on tracks inspired by legendary Nickelodeon shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more!
Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is the first in the series with fully voice-acted characters, a feature that was sorely missed by players in the first two Nickelodeon Kart Racers titles. The cast of characters has grown as well, now at more than 40, compared to Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix, the last entry, which featured 30. Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway will also feature brand-new terrain, with your kart or bike transforming into watercraft to accommodate these new environments.
Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway will also feature new levels of customization, allowing for millions of possible combinations between the cast of characters and their crew members, as well as the various paint jobs and parts for their karts or bikes. Speaking of crew members, this game will feature 90 of them, an improvement over the 70 featured in Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix.
At launch, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway will feature 36 different tracks, with slime-filled alternate paths to discover. As with the other entries, multiplayer will be a big point, with players able to play via local split-screen or online multiplayer against others across the world.
