Not Every 'Hearthstone' Card Is a Winner In 'One Night In Karazhan'

To play, or not to play? That's not really a question.

Are you ready for some deep analysis about today’s Hearthstone card reveals for the newest set One Night In Karazhan? Well, look another place because today’s cards don’t exactly have a lot going for them. They were both revealed by Blizzard and continue the ridiculous party theme scattered across the whole set.

Kara Ka-what?

Alright, let’s look at Kara Kazham, a five-mana Warlock spell that summons a 1/1 candle, a 2/2 broom and a 3/3 teapot. We don’t actually know if these magical household items have any abilities, so for the sake of dissection let’s assume they are all neutrals.

Did Warlock really need another card to give it board pressure? They already have Forbidden ritual , not to mention the myriad of other minions and spells that summon other minions. Even as a joke card, this Beauty and the Beast reference is underwhelming. It can be a good Arena card, but other than it’s just going to end up sitting in your collection, collecting dust like your mother’s China.

Pompous Thespian is a 3/2 neutral minion with taunt. That’s it. Oh, you want more in this article? Well, it’s an upgraded version of the basic set card Frostwolf Grunt , so Blizzard hasn’t forgotten about power creep in this new set. He’s also holding a broken Annoy-o-tron head and dressed like a Shakespearean thespian, which makes this card a pretty obvious homage to Hamlet. It’s an okay card to draft in Arena, but other then that it’s beyond useless.

I know Blizzard has to release a bunch of filler cards in each set, but do they have to reveal them all at once? Show me a crazy broken Priest card or a Rogue card that randomly shoots Fireballs , not a teapot and actor with an ego.
