A new Paragon trailer debuted on Thursday morning, featuring the latest addition to the game’s growing roster, and those wishing Epic Games would add another tank to its recently launched MOBA should be pleased by Paragon ’s new Riktor reveal trailer.

In a new post on the PlayStation Blog , Paragon Creative Director Steve Superville offers fans an idea of what to expect from the game’s latest champion. According to Superville, Riktor is a “melee tank who specializes in crowd control,” albeit with a more diverse set of abilities than players might expect from tank. Naturally, Riktor can soak up more damage than most of Paragon ’s heroes and his skills also make the tank an excellent initiator in teamfight situations.

Based on the trailer, Riktor is likely to become as feared for his ability to reel in opponents à la Pudge ( Dota 2 ) or Roadhog ( Overwatch ), as he will be for his higher than average armor and health pool. Interestingly, Riktor will also have the ability to silence enemies, inflicting one of the most debilitating debuffs (an inability to use skills) you’ll encounter in any MOBA. Given just how many different voids the hero can seemingly fill, aside from tanking, don’t be shocked if Riktor’s damage output is on the lower end of the roster.

For a better idea of what to expect, from the newest member of the Paragon roster, take a couple of minutes to watch the new Riktor reveal trailer. Then head down to the comments section and share your current impressions of Epic Games’ new MOBA.

Paragon is in development for PlayStation 4 and PC. The game is currently available in Early Access and will be free-to-play when it launches later this year.
