Sony is looking to have a big presence at this year’s PAX East gaming convention in Boston. The company’s booth is over 5,000 feet of gaming goodness, and there will be plenty of big-name games to try out before they are released.
Making a big splash at the PS4 booth this year is Days Gone , the survival/motorcycle game from Sony’s Bend Studios. There will be a demo area, photo opportunities and even a pen of live freakers (the Days Gone version of zombies). Completing the Days Gone demo earns you an exclusive patch.
Other major games available include a demo for the game creation video game Dreams. This abstract game from the creators of LittleBigPlanet offers players the ability to craft their own digital experiences. Players can try out the latest season of MLB: The Show and relive some childhood memories with Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled, the remake of the classic kart racer.
Sony will also use PAX East as a platform to host this year’s eMLS Cup tournament. This FIFA 19 tournament is in partnership with the eMLS, and there are some major prizes to be won. Along with a prize pool of $15,000, players are also competing for EA Sports Global Series points and a slot on the first-ever US Soccer eNational Team. The eMLS Cup tournament takes place on March 30.
Finally, if you haven’t had the opportunity to try out PSVR, Sony will have several demo units available. The PSVR demo stations are utilizing a reservation system, so if you want to get a chance to explore the world of VR, download the official PlayStation app for iOS or Android and save your spot in line.
