What We Expect : No press conference can be predicted before it happens, and the one at PSX 2016 is no exception. However, with a close ear to the latest rumors, speculation and logic, here are a few likely and semi-likely scenarios we can conjure up.
- Marvel Vs. Capcom 4 reveal during Capcom Cup finals per a report from Polygon
- Death Stranding news, considering Hideo Kojima is in the building
- Uncharted 4 single-player DLC that focuses on Sam per a Jaffameister report buttressed by gaming insider Laura Kate Dale
- A last push for Horizon: Zero Dawn given the panel placement
- Crash Bandicoot Remastered footage. We haven’t seen anything from this game yet, and you don’t get much better PlayStation fanservice than Crash.
- Kingdom Hearts III details are planned for this winter. Outside of a private reveal, something at PSX makes a ton of sense.
- New details about console exclusives like Detroit: Become Human and Days Gone. (Spiderman and God Of War won’t be at PSX, so that leaves those two.)
- An Injustice 2 character reveal doesn’t sound too out of whack. Ed Boon’s franchises have leaned towards PlayStation in recent years, and his Twitter has been getting chatty.
- PlayStation Network name changes: an eagle-eyed NeoGAF forum member recently discovered notes regarding a change in PS4’s latest Unreal Engine SDK. It differentiates between a player’s Account ID and Online ID. The implication is that the account ID stays static and isn’t seen by others, but the Online ID can change.
Those are all the dates, times, streams and details you need to enjoy the entire PlayStation Experience weekend. Which panel are you most excited to see? Will any of our predictions come true? Tell us in the comments section!
