Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege only had 20 operators at launch, and now after seven long years, that number has increased to 66. Well, at the end of 2023, the number will be 70 as the developer plans to add four more in Year 8, with the first one already revealed.
New Operator: Brava
Season 1, also known as Operation Commanding Force, will bring Brava — a three-speed attacking operator from Brazil, who’s also a cousin of Capitão. If the attacking team doesn’t want to deal with enemies’ electronics, then Brava is a must-pick for them.
Primary Gadget: Kludge Drone
Her main gadget is called a Kludge Drone that can hack defenders’ gadgets and use them against their owners. Imagine Kapkan dying to his EDD and Maestro to his Evil Eye. Brava will be a great operator if used with IQ, as the latter can reveal gadgets’ location and the former can hack them.
Defenders can counter the Kludge Drone by various means. It can be shot, jammed by Mute Jammers, or found by Solis. Vigil will be invisible to the drone when his ability is active. Mozzie can also steal the drone for himself via his pests and use it against attackers. A Mozzie-controlled Kludge drone can hack Claymore’s, Nomad’s Airjab, and other drones.
Weapons and Secondary Gadget
Brava has access to pretty decent weaponry. Her primary weapons consist of PARA-308 Assault Rifle, used by Capitão, and CAMRS DMR, used by Buck. She also has access to two secondary weapons, namely, Super Shorty Shotgun and USP40 Pistol. For her secondary gadget, she can choose between either a Claymore or Smoke Grenade.
In other news, Ubisoft revealed the Year 8 roadmap of Rainbow Six Siege, which features some unexpected changes like the Frost and Consulate rework and modifications to shield and reload mechanisms. You can visit our previous article for more information.
