Rez made the jump to PC this week, via a new port of Rez Infinite that hit Steam on Thursday, nearly a year after the remastered rhythm game debuted on PlayStation 4 and PSVR. And it includes support for some of the most popular virtual reality headsets on the market.
The Steam version of Rez Infinite wasn’t as big of a surprise as Enhance Games was probably hoping for, thanks to an errant tweet spotted by NeoGAF user Grief.exe before it could be deleted. But the game’s sudden migration to Steam was probably a much bigger shock for anyone who doesn’t visit the forum. The good news is that the version of Rez Infinite listed on Steam is everything you’d hope for from the PC port. It includes the original Rez in its entirety along with the Area X content created specifically for Rez Infinite’s PS4 debut.
Anyone who purchases the PC port of Rez Infinite will also be entitled to the game’s Digital Deluxe DLC, a collection of virtual goodies like wallpapers, avatars and even a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack. Here’s the full breakdown:
Over 20 desktop wallpapers, including original concept art.
A digital soundtrack sampler including new, never-before released tracks.
A set of original Rez avatars.
A digital excerpt from the iam8bit-created Making-of Rez / art book.

Rift and Vive owners will be happy to hear the game supports both headsets. Rez Infinite even supports the Rift DK2, the last round of pre-launch hardware Oculus sold to developers and consumers before releasing the CV1 in March 2016. We haven’t had a chance to check out the PC version yet; however, the fine folks at Digital Foundry have been putting the Steam port through a battery of tests. From the sound of things, most of the content in Rez Infinite should run well on most gaming PCs. But you’re going to need a beefier machine to get through Area X without any major performance hiccups, especially if you’re wearing a Rift or Vive while you’re playing. Head over to Eurogamer for more on the game’s performance.
Rez Infinite is currently available on PS4 and PC.
