A new batch of Shadow Warrior 2 gameplay footage debuted Monday morning, courtesy of the official Devolver Digital YouTube channel, featuring more than 12 minutes of new footage from the upcoming shooter. We even get another preview of the chainsaw katana offered to those who pre-order their copy of Shadow Warrior 2 ahead of the game’s October debut.

Best of all, there are several surprises in the new footage. The Shadow Warrior 2 video includes a pair of new environments, each substantially different than the lush outdoor area we’ve seen in previous demonstrations, along with a handful of new weapons that seem to be just as deadly as anything in Wang’s arsenal. More than half a dozen new enemies can be seen in this week’s footage, including several robotic adversaries and multiple varieties of Zilla Commando. We’re particularly excited to get our hands on a pair of laser scythes, seen late in the demonstration, that look like they could be both the hardest and most fun weapons to master.

The only thing the new Shadow Warrior 2 footage doesn’t include is an update on the console versions of the game. We know the PC version debuts next month and Devolver Digital hopes to have the console versions out in early 2017. But there’s still no word on exactly how long PS4 and Xbox One owners will have to wait for what could turn out to be one of the best shooters of 2016.

To learn more about Shadow Warrior 2, take some time to watch the full 12-minute gameplay video. Then head down to the comments section and let us know if you’re planning to pick up Shadow Warrior 2 when the game debuts next month.

Shadow Warrior 2 is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
