One last Shadow Warrior 2 trailer is out, less than 24 hours before the game unlocks on Steam, and it might just be the most SW2 violent clip we’ve seen ahead of the game’s debut. Fortunately, for those who’d like a bit more substance, the new Shadow Warrior 2 trailer does an excellent job of introducing the faces, both old and new, we’ll see in the Shadow Warrior sequel.
The new Shadow Warrior 2 trailer features a surprising amount of decapitation, even for a game with a Mature rating, undoubtedly meant to highlight the new gore generation systems that keep the blood flowing (and body parts flying) in SW2. It also introduces many of Lo Wang’s allies, via some very Borderlands-esque camera shots, and serves a pleasant reminder that the next game in Flying Wild Hog’s rebooted Shadow Warrior franchise supports up to four-player co-op.
This week’s trailer also features more than a dozen of the enemies we’ll see in Lo Wang’s next adventure. Many of the demons seen in the Shadow Warrior 2 launch trailer have appeared in previous promotional footage for the game, and/or the hands-on demos Flying Wild Hog has been showing on the convention circuit this year. However, there are some new faces on the wrong side of Wang’s weaponry, too.
